"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Our Christmas Tree

We couldn't wait to get our Christmas tree this year with the boys! Carson is at such a fun age and his personality is quite humorous! We asked him if he'd like to go pick out our Christmas tree, and he said, "Oh, cool, sure!" We went through several trees trying to find the perfect one. We looked at all the ones that were out and opened, then started cutting the ties and opening up new ones! Carson was determined to find a good one with Daddy. We found the perfect tree! Mommy and her boys... The boys thought it was pretty neat that the Christmas tree got to ride on top of the van! Days later Carson was still asking if the tree was on top! We went right to work when we got home decorating the house for Christmas. The boys found their snowglobes from last year, and it only took a day for them to bust! :) Carson and Tanner each have a Christmas tree of their own in their rooms. They kept busy putting ornaments on their own little trees. This year we also made a felt Christmas tree with felt ornaments. The purpose of our felt tree is to direct the boys to it when they are wanting to take the ornaments off of our real tree. It has really worked well with Tanner, and they enjoy decorating and re-decorating their felt Christmas tree! Carson loved helping Daddy add the final touch to our tree...the star! Our beautifully decorated Christmas tree this year...
