"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

High School kids

We have some awesome high school kids in our youth group! We had so much fun with them and honestly couldn't have asked for a better group of kids to take to CIY. God did some amazing things this week! It was really awesome for Matt and I to experience such a great week with them and get to be there for them as they made some big changes. Carson was one loved on little boy this week too!

Double Trouble

Here's a perfect picture of what our lives were like for one week in a small dorm room with two babies under the age of 1! Here's their "pig pen" as I called it. They crawled (and climbed!) all over this thing, but it kept them contained which was the point of it. Landon and Carson were great playmates but not good sleeping mates! Here's another picture of us trying to get them down for a nap. This makes me laugh.

Oh my. They are really cute though!

Daddy's favorite CIY adventure

The famous Milligan college creek! Daddy and a bunch of the high school kids went down to the creek for some fun. Carson and I went along for the fun too. I didn't put Carson in his bathing suit because we weren't planning on putting him in, but he was really wanting Daddy to hold him, so I let him go in his clothes! Crazy Mommy! But he's all boy and Daddy had a blast with him. The favorite activity at the creek is jumping off the rocks into the creek. You would think that watching a girl have to go to the hospital for splitting open her knee would be enough to stop these high school boys, but it wasn't, and it didnt stop Matt either.

We made it!

Surprisingly, the 12 hour car ride to Tennessee wasn't as bad as we were prepared for! Mander and I had the boys all set up with 2 DVD players, snacks gallore, and tons of toys. There was the occasional cry here or there, but overall they were very entertained. Matt was entertained by Baby Einstein as well! :) We went ahead of the youth group vans the 2nd day so the boys would sleep the majority of the way we had left, and stopped to have a nice lunch at Cracker Barrel when they woke up. They enjoyed the home cooking! So did Mander, Matt, and I!

Pool fun playdate

Carson invited Landon and Eli over today for some pool fun! Landon was the king of splashes and Eli was taking it all in! Carson did a good job sharing his toys and loved the company in his pool. It's awesome having great friends with babies so close in age! We know they will grow up to be best buds!

Aunt Jamie stopped by too to join in on the fun. She got a good taste of the chaos she is about to discover! She got to practice by holding baby Eli. He is such a sweet baby! :)

Trapper in Training

Matt picked up a toddler size Wildlife shirt for Carson when he was first born. It's crazy how fast he has grown and can actually wear it now! It's a bit big, but he likes to be "comfy cozy" for his naptime. Matt was trying to get him dressed today and Carson really did not want to cooperate. He just wanted to play with his new favorite toy, "Racoony". He couldn't get any cuter with his Wildlife shirt on playing with his racoon. He wants to be just like Daddy when he grows up!

Aunt Jamie goes to Gymboree

Carson loves his Aunt Jamie! She has been busy teaching this year, but is now out for the summer and was excited to go with Carson and I to Gymboree on Friday. She saw how much Carson loves his gym class. The tunnels and parachute are his favorite!

The parents all lift up the parachute and all the babies sit on their parents lap and sing songs, but not my child. He immediately crawls as fast as he can into the middle of the mat and begins squealing! I can't help but let him do it because he loves it so much! Aunt Jamie snapped this picture. You can see Carson is the only baby in the middle stealing the show! :)

Shopping with Carson

My sweet little boy is an angel when we shop. He loves his floppy seat. His new thing is to lay down in the cart and get nice and relaxed. It's quite humorous and he gets lots of chuckles out of people walking by. Here he is in Target today!

Best buds

Carson and Alex (the little guy I watch 3 days a week) are really becoming good friends! I feel so blessed to be able to work part time and take Carson with me. It couldn't get any better than watching someone close to Carson's age too. It can be a bit challenging with one just learning to walk, and one who thinks he can keep up with his buddy. I know I'll really be in trouble when they are much older wanting to play with lizards and are running around like little tornadoes, but I love every minute and know I will then too!

Here are the boys today. Alex is crawling through the doorway of this toy and Carson thinks it's hilarious that he's pushing him with his head. I got it all on video too, it was quite entertaining!!

Feel better Great Grandma

Carson's great Grandma Betty is in a rehab facility right now recovering from a broken tailbone. :( Carson is great at cheering people up, but unfortunately we live an hour away and can't visit until Saturday. So, I had this brilliant idea to let Carson finger paint Grandma Betty a picture! I used a paintbrush to put paint on his hand to make handprints, and Carson decided he REALLY needed to hold the paintbrush. A little paint never hurt anyone, right?

BFF Benson comes to visit!

Carson's best friend Benson came to visit last Thursday! Carson slept most of the time he was visiting, but when he woke up and saw his BFF, he couldn't wait to make his way over to him! Carson LOVES babies and definitely loves Benson. We hope that they grow up to be best buddies.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Matt's first birthday celebrated with his little boy! Carson did a great job staying out 2 hours past his bedtime so he could attend Daddy's birthday dinner. He was passed out though when it was time to give Daddy his big present! That's okay, Carson and Daddy will have lots of fun together (in the future!) in their new canoe!

Fun with Nana and Papa

My parents are definitely in love with their grandson! They enjoy taking random pictures of him too! My dad bought Carson a Bass Pro lawn chair and decided to set him by their campfire ring and pose some pictures. They make me laugh! Carson loves his Nana and Papa!!!
