"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Lil' 500

The DeMoor boys (ok and Mommy too) love go-karting!
It was hard to wait in line, there were alot of people there on this day, but the boys loved watching the cars go by and couldn't wait for their turn!
Daddy and his big boy ready to race!
TT the race car driver...
He loved going fast!!!
Racing against Daddy and Carson...
Ice cream afterwards at Cold Stone made the day even more better!
Love spending fun days with our boys!

Let's play ball!!!

We were all so excited for our first night of T-ball practice! Matt and I have been working on coach and team duties for a couple of weeks and were ready to see it all come together. Thanks to great friends, we were decked out in St. Louis Cardinals gear!
I've never seen Carson so excited about something! He was ecstatic! Such a big boy!
Daddy (aka Coach Matt) and his cute little Cardinals player!
I may have gone a little overboard on my duties of "Team Mom". But I've got to stay organized, haha! I was already labeled "THAT creative Mom!" Love my boys, what can I say?! And I love my Cricut too! :)
Matt's brother Robbie was interested in coaching with Matt, and he came to the first practice too. Carson thought it was SO cool to have his Daddy and Uncle Robbie on the field with him!
Matt and Robbie did an awesome job! The main coaches of the league showed all 4 T-Ball team coaches how to rotate through 4 different stations and work with the kids. Carson listened so well at every station. Here's his first attempt at catching a "ground ball"....
We had such a great night and are SO excited for our first season of T-Ball! GO CARDINALS!!!

Exploring Nature

I think it's pretty safe to say our boys definitely take after their Daddy and his love for nature! The boys got a "backyard science kit" for Christmas (thanks Aunt Mamie!) and we had the chance to enjoy the beautiful weather and get dirty outside! Daddy started us off by climbing trees...

Then we went off on a trail to explore! We found a big log in the brush, so Daddy kicked it over to look for bugs. We found tons of neat stuff!
We put all kinds of things under our magnifying glass to look at more closely.
Here's an ant we found up close...
After digging in deep dirt, we found an earthworm! Tanner was all about holding the earthworm. 100% boy!
Carson explored some swampy area for a little, but no luck on anything too fun, just a couple of ducks!
We ended our nature trail with some scooter riding! Love fun mornings with my boys!

Faith & Family Magic Game

The Orlando Magic played the Charlotte Bobcats Friday night and we got to attend our first Magic game ever! We got free tickets through our Family Ministries team (hmm!) and were super excited!
What was even better was that it was Faith and Family night and our church got picked to have 20 kids high-five the players as they entered onto the court! We had a great time with our friends as we waited for our big kids debut on the court! Channy and TT, best buds sitting together at the game...
Our new Campus Pastor's wife, Kristie, and their littlest Karis...
One of our other friends was able to capture some "backstage" pictures (limited amount of people behind the scenes). Here are the big kids ready for their fun on the court...

Carson kept talking about the "BIG" shoe! They were shown what an average basketball player's shoe looks like. Wow! He was in amazement!
Waiting for the players to come out...
I tried to get the closest pictures I could, from where we were, of our kids sitting patiently for the players to come out. Carson sat SO still and was taking in all of his surroundings!
Here come the Charlotte Bobcats! They high fived the kids and then went out onto the court! So cool!
Chris August, a christian musician who also gave a concert after the game, sang the National Anthem.
Matt and Carson made it back to our seats just in time for the game to begin. Carson cheered and had a blast!!

What's a basketball game without a big bucket of popcorn?!

Being silly with my TT!
Around the 3rd quarter, we headed to the playground they have in the new arena. The kids had so much fun running around! Such a fun night!

Tanner's tubes & adenoids

Tanner's tubes surgery when he was 9 months old was a huge success. The tubes alleviated his discomfort, drained the fluid like they were supossed to, and then fell out about a year and a half later. Somehow we made it through the summer months of swimming lessons, and a little fishy in the water 2 year old without any ear infections. But then October came, and it was one ear infection after the other. After several visits to both our Pediatrician (whom we LOVE) and our ENT (also a big fan), a second set of tubes and his adenoids to be removed was the verdict. Tanner's surgery was scheduled for 7:30am, and he was a champ waking up at 5:30 with no food or water for several hours!
Even though we'd been through this procedure before, I was extremely nervous. Anytime your baby is put under anesthesia, it's frightening, and sending him off with people you don't know is also very hard. Thankfully we were with him up until the very last minute.
The nurses and staff were so great with Tanner. They let him watch Veggie Tales while they prepped him for surgery.
He also got to pick out Dinosaur stickers for extra entertainment.
The surgery was a little longer this time with the adenoid removal, but all in all, went by pretty quickly. We were SO relieved when the Doctor came out and said Tanner did great. When Tanner awoke from anesthesia, he had a bit of a hard time. Thankfully I had friends that prepared me for different reactions kids can have, and we remained completely calm through the screaming, vomiting, and him pulling out his IV in his hand - yikes! He fell asleep on the car ride home, and we went straight to our movie blanket with popsicles.
Tanner had a couple of days of discomfort, and slept on Mommy for naptime a couple of times. Sweet boy!
We see the ENT for our follow-up visit on Monday and are praying all is well with our baby boy! Thanks for all the prayers everyone, we were feeling them!

T-Ball Time!!

Well, the time has come, our first sport! We went back and forth between soccer and baseball, and had decided on soccer until Grandpa DeMoor gave Carson a baseball glove for Christmas! He instantly wanted to play catch all the time, and there was no turning back! We signed Carson up for his first team today!
Carson is playing on the same field that his Uncle Jacob played on when he was a kid. Carson still thinks Uncle Jacob will be on the field with him! :)
After sign-ups, we walked around the field and let Carson check it all out.
We're so excited for Carson and for all the fun this season will bring! We ended up deciding to be head coach and team mom for Carson's team, so we're ecstatic to be such a big part of his first year! Let's go Cardinals!

Science Center fun with Hannah!

The boys and I took Hannah on a Science Center fun day with us! First stop, the alligators and turtles...
Then we listened to the ocean through conch shells...
We spent quite some time at the orange plant where they picked oranges, and put them through processing. Move those oranges through guys!
We found a new fun exhibit where you build boats out of legos, and also count how many marbles until your boat sinks. They loved this water area!
Last stop, digging for dinosaur bones!
Fun morning with my little sweet peas! Next time, we'll take Hadley along too! :)
