"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

We love our high energy boy!

Matt and I hear quite often that Carson has some major energy! He is definitely all boy! We have always loved Carson's energy and excitement for life. I have been reading the book "Loving Obedience" the past few days and have been learning the importance of acknowledging your children's assets and telling them so. One of the examples of an asset was a high energy level child. It reads "Parents usually want peace and quiet. We aren't always overjoyed at the boundless energy in our children. Nevertheless, when they are despondent due to illness, we realize that energy is a wonderful Creator's gift." Literally the next day after reading this in my book, Carson came down with a 102 fever and his fever lasted for 6 days! Carson has had illnesses in the past, but this one in particular was really getting to me. I had taken him to the doctor twice, and left with the news that this virus would just have to run it's course. We layed low and camped out on the living room floor for days! It was very hard to watch him feel so sick. He wasn't eating much, sleeping was hit or miss, sometimes he'd nap for hours, but would be up several times in the night. It was pitiful! Carson had lots of people praying for him and I was ecstatic when Sunday morning he woke up and his fever was gone! He had an appetite and was beginning to look so much better! What a HUGE appreciation I have for my high energy boy! Bring on the energy buddy, Mommy and Daddy love it!
