Brooke's Kitchen Shower

Jamie, my mom, and I were thrilled to be apart of giving Brooke her very first bridal shower! We went with a kitchen theme to shower her with everything she needs for her first kitchen. Brooke and Jacob chose orange, green, and yellow for their kitchen colors and everything they registered for was just beautiful! Our guest sign in table... Jamie and I with the bride to be! Brooke's family is wonderful. Her mom, grandma, and aunt, provided the food for the shower and they did an amazing job! Brooke and her mom and mom to be! Our orange, yellow, and green theme... I was completely impressed with the drinks station that a close friend of Brooke's family put together. Water with lemons, lemonade with limes, and sweet tea with oranges - love it!! The food was delicious. From shrimp cocktail, to bruschetta and dips galore, you name it, we had it! They also had little mini cupcakes made with orange, yellow, and green icing! They were yummy! No shower is complete without a few fun games. We played "Name that Spice" and it was actually harder than you think! We also played "Kitchen Bingo" while Brooke opened her gifts... We asked the guests to bring a recipe to add to a cookbook Jamie and I put together for Brooke. We gave it to her at the end of the gift time, with a matching apron too! Hopefully it will be the beginning of many wonderful dishes she makes. After Brooke was finished opening gifts, her mom had a special surprise for her. Brooke has been eyeing a bright green Kitchen Aid mixer! To Brooke's surprise, her parents bought it! She was thrilled! We had such a wonderful time meeting more of Brooke's family and friends and showering her on such a special day! Strawberry lemonade on your way out...
