"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Our Family Christmas Morning 2013

Merry Christmas! Happy Birthday Jesus!
We started off our Christmas morning reading the Christmas Story. We've been doing this for a few years now. We want to make sure the boys grow up knowing what Christmas is all about.
After reading the Christmas story, we opened our Sparkle Box. The boys were excited to see the things that I have been adding to it the past few weeks.
It was really neat to look back at all we were able to be apart of this Christmas season. The boys played a huge role in picking out and packing our Operation Christmas Child boxes, and also helped shop for the little boy we adopted for Christmas. We reminisced about the joy we spread at the Nursing Home and talked about Mr. Bob. They are really beginning to understand what it means to give.
After the Sparkle box, we went straight to stockings!
Then onto presents (inside!)
After all the presents were gone under the tree, we told the boys we had a big surprise for them outside, but they had to close their eyes as we walked them into the backyard. Their expressions were priceless! Carson even yelled "Thank you!" They instantly went over to the playset to check it out.
Happy little boys!!!
After we played outside for a little while, we cooked up some Christmas pancakes and eggs!
The boys played with their new toys as we watched the Disney Christmas parade on TV. It was a nice, relaxing and fun morning at home as a family!
