"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Sick Days

There's something about this time of year, whether allergies or the weather change, that sparks a croupy cough and runny nose in Carson. The night Matt and I got home from our Anniversary get-away, Carson was running a 99 fever and coughing. It all spiraled downhill from there when Hannah and Tanner quickly picked up the same symptoms. Multiple trips to the doctor and 2 nebulizers later, we were homebound and on a mission to get them healthy again. Although they were coughing a whole lot, it didn't seem to knock their energy levels down much! I had to get creative and find ways to keep them busy inside! Jamie had a brilliant idea to give them paintbrushes with water and let them "clean". They loved it! We also painted with real paint and painted fall leaves for our thankful tree we made later in the week.

We played several games of Thomas the Train bingo. Then sorted the game pieces by color when that got old. And when we just couldn't take looking at the inside of the house walls anymore, we went for drives in the van where we sang songs, and visited Dunkin Donuts for Munchkins! Hannah and Carson returned to school this week, and although we have a few lingering coughs here and there, I think they're on the up slope! What a fun week of hanging out with these 3!
