"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Our family tradition, that Matt and I started the first year we got married, is to pick out a real Christmas tree and decorate it over Thanksgiving weekend. We play Christmas music, make homemade hot chocolate and cookies, and have a blast spending the evening together. This year, Carson was even more apart of it since he's a year older now and could actually help! We headed to Lowe's this year for our Christmas tree. These candy cane yard decorations kept Carson busy for awhile! Matt and Carson found the perfect Christmas tree.
Mommy and her boys!
Carson decorated his own little Christmas tree for his room.
And took a couple of breaks for cookies and hot cocoa!
It took Matt and I a little while to get the lights from last year to work, and then get them on the tree, but Carson was very patient and helped put some ornaments on before it was off to bed.
