"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

When God gives you a new direction....

"Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." Psalm 9:10
Matt has felt for awhile (especially after his ManUp group at church was focusing on work) that he was open to a change in his career path. He had been at his job for almost 10 years, and felt ready to move on to something different. He didn't know what, where, or how to even go about looking for something different, so we started praying together that God would show him a new way if that was His will for our family. Over a series of events, God unfolded his plan for Matt. I joined an amazing Bible study called BSF on Wednesday mornings back in January. It worked out really well for us because I could still be fed spiritually, our children were being fed spiritually in their children's classes that they offer at BSF, and I wasn't out 1 more night of the week at a ladies Bible study when Matt was home in the evenings. I was placed in a group of 12 or so women, mostly young Moms, where we talk about the lesson for the week, share prayer requests, etc. In February, I added to the A.S.K. (Ask, Seek, Knock) prayer list, which is shared among our group, for God to show Matt a new career path or confirm him to stay where he was already at. Matt and I continued to pray together for a clear direction and continued on with life. One of the sweet ladies in our group, Katie, who has been apart of BSF for 5 years, and her 4 year old daughter is in Carson's BSF children's class, had an on-going prayer request since before I even began attending BSF, for God to provide a Christian, hard-working employee to help grow their business. I prayed for her and her husband's business each week off of our A.S.K sheet, but it never dawned on me that Matt could possibly be "the" employee they had been praying for, I didn't even know what her husband did. A couple of weeks went by of us both having the same prayer requests, and I got a call from my BSF group leader on a Thursday morning. She told me that the day before, after Bible study, her and Katie had a brief discussion about what Matt's job currently was and if maybe he would be interested in hearing about their company. At first I thought to myself, this is neat, but her husband could have worked for Dell computers, something Matt has no experience in, I didn't know. My Bible study leader gave me a brief overview of what Katie told her their company was about but that I should call Katie to talk more details, and possibly have our husbands exchange numbers. I called Matt and told him what had happened and asked if he would be okay with me calling her, then giving his number out. Matt was excited to hear more, so we went down the path of all talking and exchanging numbers. Within 1 week, Matt took a day to ride with Mike, the owner, and loved the type of work he was doing. They both walked away from the day feeling like they instantly clicked, and Mike was impressed by Matt's knowledge of cars, his comfort level of the type of work, and even the relationship Matt already had with several of the dealerships and collision centers Mike had accounts with. Matt walked away from the day feeling like this was it, and God just confirmed it even more when Mike called Matt the same night and said "You're my guy, you're it, the job is yours if you want it. Think about it and pray about it with your wife and let me know." Matt and I prayed long and hard that night and really felt like this was God ordained, nothing Matt went out and looked for, and felt like this was the new direction for Matt's career path. So fast forward a month and here we are!
Matt has been riding and training with Mike for about 4 weeks now. He has quickly picked up on how to turn a scratched up or bent alloy wheel into a brand-new looking wheel! Who knew there was SO much demand for this type of work, they are swamped with business which is why Mike and Katie have been praying for an employee to help with the work load and grow even more! Recently Matt and Mike drove to Atlanta to purchase Matt's new work truck.
They do all of their work inside these mobile trailers and move all around Seminole and Volusia Counties to car dealerships, collision centers, and even residential homes as well. They have full days of appointments and the calls just keep coming in.
This is Matt's first week out on his own and he is loving it! The boys and I got to check out his new truck and trailer.

Can't start a new job without a present!

We got Matt an iPhone speaker dock and charger for his trailer, and a McDonald's gift card for all those early morning breakfasts!
Matt comes home with all kinds of pictures of the different car wheels he's worked on and loves to see his finished product. He loves how fast-paced the job is, that he's always in a different location being mobile, and the people he's working around.
We're so proud of our Daddy and how he leads us! God has truly blessed us by this new opportunity of growth and direction for our family and we're excited to be apart of this great company!

Happy Birthday Aunt Mamie!

For Aunt Jamie's birthday dinner, she chose breakfast! Or as Carson called it "Breakfast Dinner"! Yum!
The 4 cuties chowing down on some yummy breakfast food that Nana and Papa made!
Even Hadley had some oatmeal! Love that sweet face!
Jamie is such a great Mom! She loves her girls to pieces!
We enjoyed the gorgeous weather outside and Carson and Papa had a fun time!
Can't believe we managed to get all 4 kids to group together around Nana and Papa for a picture! So thankful for our family!
After some outside fun, it was time to open presents! The boys couldn't wait for Aunt Mamie to see their dinosaur card they picked out!
 Little helpers...
Mom made homemade chocolate cake, Jamie's favorite! Happy Birthday Aunt Mamie! We love you so much!

Hooray for Spring!

Our first day of Spring didn't come on March 20th like the calendar said! To us Floridians anyway! Our Spring Break was a cold one and we were SO excited to get back to our high 70's this weekend! We took advantage of the beautiful weather Saturday and headed for Tavares for some fun in the sun! They have such a fun wooden park that the boys love!
It was the re-opening of the splash pad and the boys couldn't wait to get inside. This is our favorite splash pad around town!
Having fun on the fishy fountain...
Daddy braved the cold water and had a blast with his boys on the water slide!

Tanner still can't get water in his ears per his ENT's recommendation, and Hannah was nice enough to let us borrow her nice pink band that she wore when she had her tubes put in. I think it looks great with his swim trunks :)

After the splash pad, we dried off and watched the train go by. The boys loved this! This train ride just re-opened recently, so we'll have to check this out for a future ride!
We had a delicious and relaxing lunch by the lake. Picture courtesy of Carson...
Then hit up Twistee Treat for some ice cream before our drive home!
Love our fun family days!

Braving the Cinedome Theater!

It's been awhile since we've been to the Science Center, and our passes are about to expire, so we spent a couple of hours there on Friday. When we were checking in, I noticed there was a movie at the Cinedome on Space that I knew Carson would LOVE. Unfortunately, the last time we gave the Cinedome theater a try, we immediately left out the back doors because the boys were so scared! I decided we'd give it another go, but told Carson we would do a few of their favorite things first. Carson is obsessed with the tarantula (I have no idea why, just the boy in him I guess!) so we headed to the animal exhibit first.
Then it was up to the top floor for the dinosaur exhibit, one of Tanner's favorites now! Our little future archaeologist in action...
I don't think I have to do much explaining...this picture tells it all!! I know, it looks like I'm torturing my children, but I KNEW if I could just get them through the first 5 minutes, they would love it! We sat at the very top just in case we needed to exit quickly!
The movie began and they both covered their ears for the first minute. Tanner was the first one to take his hands off of his ears, and Carson realized it wasn't so bad after a minute or two also. I just kept "oooing" and "ahhing" over all the awesome stars and space technology that was being shown. Now we have 2 happy boys...

The movie was awesome and Carson had so many questions about space satellites and rockets. It's been fun talking about space with him and they both want to take Daddy to see it this weekend! Maybe a trip to the Kennedy Space Center is in our near future!

Splitsville!

Downtown Disney just opened up a new bowling alley called Splitsville! It's a more upscale bowling alley with awesome food, more comfortable seating, a restaurant, and more! We were so excited to check it out for our sweet best bud Chandler's 3rd birthday!
The birthday princess, Chandler Rae!
Sweet friends! Love these girly poses!
Channy and TT, best friends! Can you tell?! Look at that hug!
Growing up with our best buds! Can't believe our babies are almost 5! These 5 (missing TT in the picture) have been friends since birth!
Ready to bowl!

Tanner was determined to do everything on his own, even carry a 10lb ball to the bowling ramp. So independent these days!
Best buds!
After bowling and pizza, we sang Happy Birthday to our sweet Channy! We love you princess and love watching you grow up into your sweet, sassy, Taylor Swift self! XOXO

Easter Sunday

Easter morning started out with Mommy up and out of the house before the sun was even up! I was thrilled to be such a big part of our Easter services at Journey, serving so many kids and families, but I missed out on the DeMoor Easter brunch! I heard about it though, and the boys had fun with their cousins!
Once we all came back together as a family, we did the boys Easter baskets!
The boys were excited to see their treats!
We all took a much needed nap and then headed to Nana and Papa's house to continue our fun Easter day. The kids had a great time hunting for MORE eggs!
"I think I'll just sit here for a minute and open this egg now!"
Hannah got a new princess kite and the boys were so excited to fly such a pretty kite :)
Carson catching some major wind gusts!
Then it was time for the Frye family tradition of egg on the spoon races! DeMoor's vs. Dozier's! Bring it on!

Even Hadley got to participate! Way to go Hadley!
We had a nice visit with Great Grandma and Pepaw too! They really enjoyed watching the kids run and play!
The weather was simply perfect! We grilled out hamburgers and hot dogs and enjoyed playing outside for the majority of our day! It was so nice!

Aunt G soaking up some Hadley time...
Could her smile get any sweeter?!?!

As if they hadn't had enough treats already, popsicles in their lawnchairs ended the day! Love these 4 to pieces!
We hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating the resurrection of our Lord! Happy Easter!
