"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Our first day of Kindergarten homeschool!

We are so excited to start our homeschool journey with Carson this year! I can't believe our oldest is in Kindergarten! Where does the time go? Carson is a very eager learner and picks things up super fast. He told me this morning after breakfast, "Ok mom, when we get home from taking Tanner to preschool, it's teamwork time!" Love him!
ICS makes it super easy on the parent! They plan all of your lessons out for you, you just have to follow the plan. I'm a "check-off" type girl, so I loved completing the tasks with Carson and checking it off. We started with Bible first, where we worked on the ICS character verse for the semester, then moved on to a boys devotion that I picked up over the summer. We looked for the verses together in the Bible and he highlighted the verse. He was so excited to have his own Bible. Such a sweet time together!
We moved on to Math and Language Arts where we took a break in between. He also had a fun "get to know you" craft he had to complete for school tomorrow, and we had fun putting that together.
We celebrated a great morning of learning by eating lunch at Panera, of course we picked up a cookie for our Tanner and headed to pick him up after lunch. So proud of Carson! This is going to be a great year!
