"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Kindergarten Open House

Carson had his class open house today at ICS! Meet Mrs. Callahan...the sweetest, craftiest, happiest person I've ever met! She is simply wonderful! She is going to be a perfect fit for our Carson!
Mrs. Callahan set up a super fun treasure hunt for the kids to do when they walked in. Each student had to grab a map and a bag for their gold coins they were going to collect.
The map had the students going around the classroom, putting away and learning where their student folders would go, meeting a new friend in the centers, writing in their math journals, creating a craft, and much more!
Carson's cubby...
One of the treasure map tasks was to find Mrs. Callahan and get a hug from her. She noticed Carson's tooth was missing and immediately took him over to the "I lost a tooth" chart on the wall!
He was the first one to sign in August that he lost a tooth, so special!
Tanner found the reading center and camped out for the hour that Carson and I were visiting with our class families. I think someone was worn out from preschool!
Mrs. Callahan had snacks and water for the kids. It was such a fun time getting to know his classmates and his teacher.
On our car ride home, the boys ate their super fun "back to school" snack mix that Aunt Jamie made them! Such a memorable back to school day!
