"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Ft. Wilderness Cabins

When we were thinking about what would be a fun way to celebrate Carson's 4th birthday, camping immediately came to mind. Carson definitely takes after his Daddy's love for the outdoors! Which makes me so happy that they can share in such fun hobbies. We chose to go to Disney's Ft. Wilderness cabins for the weekend. Disney sure does know how to make a kid feel special on his birthday! From the minute we checked in, they were lavishing birthday wishes on Carson. He even got a special button and lots of Mickey Mouse stickers.
Although Mommy fully supports outdoor camping the "real" way, for the sake of our friends and family, who would join us for a birthday party, and my 8 month pregnant sister, we rented a cabin for the A/C and comforts of home. Ok, ok, who am I kidding?! Mommy just needed a real bed, bathroom, and the A/C! :) This cabin was so cute and perfect for the weekend!
It came fully furnished, and the kitchen had all the necessities for a weekend of cooking.
Mickey Mouse made out of a towel on our bed...
 Incredibly fun bunk beds!!
We invited our friends Matt and Amanda, and their 2 kids to stay with us on Friday night for some fun. From the minute we got there, we dropped our stuff in the living room and headed out to explore all there was to do at the campground. Matt's brother Steve let us borrow his personal golf cart to tote the 8 of us around all weekend. It was awesome! On our drive around the campground, we spotted a deer!
There were several playgrounds all around the campground and the kids had a blast. Landon and Carson did some races...
While Chandler and Tanner loved on each other. Two little sweeties!
After playground time, we went to the campfire sing-a-long and roasted marshmallows. The kids did so well standing still near the fire while their marshmallows cooked.

 Mmmm...sticky, yummy s'mores!
Chip and Dale visited the campfire and we all danced and sang along to all the fun campfire songs.
After the sing-a-long, we watched the Magic Kingdom's fireworks show from the beach. It was a perfect night!
When we got back from the fireworks, the bigger boys set up a tent outside of the cabin. They wanted to experience real camping in the great outdoors, and got their blankets, pillows, and flashlights. Unfortunately, Landon ate way too many sweets and got sick inside the tent. :( His Daddy took him inside for the night with the rest of us, while Matt and Carson stayed in the tent. Carson slept great in the tent and thought it was so neat when he woke up!
Tanner and Chandler cuddling before bedtime...
The next morning was Carson's birthday! We made him Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes for breakfast.

Carson's first activity choice of the day was to ride the ponies. We all loaded up on the golf cart for our morning of fun!
Carson loved his horse Nemo. Nemo was very cooperative and gave Carson a good ride!
Tanner's horse, on the other hand, was not so cooperative! Cricket gave Mommy a run for her money! I have no experiences with horses, and had no idea what I was doing! Thankfully Daddy helped us move Cricket along and Tanner still had a great time!
Landon had a great ride on Nemo too!
After pony rides, we went to the main pool to swim. Carson loved going down the big slide!
And all four kids had a blast in the kids splash park.
After swimming and lunch, we managed to get all 4 kids down for an afternoon nap (in the same room thanks to Ms. Amanda and her skills!) before Carson's big birthday bash!
