"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Carson's Camping Birthday Party!

Carson was so excited for his birthday party with our family and friends! A friend of mine made Carson this adorable camping birthday shirt for his party! Still can't believe my baby is 4!
Birdhouse painting table...
Walking sticks for our Nature Scavenger Hunt...
The picture nature scavenger hunt...
The kids had fun painting their birdhouses! Carson got real into painting his and even wanted to paint the inside!
Aunt Brooke was brave letting TT paint on her lap! :)

Brooke and her amazing tie-dyed birdhouse! Love her creativity!
After painting and nature scavenger hunts, we all headed up to the Meadow Trading Post for some fun! Daddy and Carson rode in the buggy with their fishing poles.
Right when we got to the pool, it started to rain. Thankfully it only lasted about 30 minutes and there was a nearby arcade that kept the kids busy. Alex and Carson had WAY too much fun on this racecar game!
The kids all had a great time swimming...
And Carson loved going down the big slide! I loved watching him wait in the line with all of the big kids, and to see how excited he was as he came down! (Video at the end of this post)
While the kids played at the pool, fished, and played on the playground, my parents and I prepared all the food for dinner. Papa the grill master...
We had quite the spread of food! With 30+ family members, it was ALL eaten very quickly!
The weather was great for hanging out outside and visiting. We were so glad my Aunt and Uncle and cousins came from Ocala to celebrate with us! Sharon and Tim and the kids traveled from Sarasota, and Jacob and Brooke came from Jacksonville too! The kids enjoyed playing baseball and running around outside.
As soon as we finalized Carson's party would be a camping themed party, I searched pinterest for the perfect cake ideas. I came across this campfire cake using twix bars and rock candy, and was pretty confident I could pull it off. It was the easiest cake to make and super cute!
The Birthday boy with his campfire cake...
The kids ate chocolate cupcakes and the adults devoured the cake!
After cake, I thought it would be a good idea to sugar the kids up even more, haha! They made up little goodie bags filled with homemade trail mix, pretzels, and gummy worms for the late night movie after the campfire sing-a-long.

Can't go to a campfire without S'mores!!
The kids loaded up in the buggy and we were off to the campfire!

We had such a fun night making s'mores and singing with Chip and Dale again. Mommy and her big 4 year old!

Our family at the campfire...
We stayed and watch a little bit of the late night movie Pocahontas, then headed back to the cabin for much needed baths! We were so incredibly grateful for everyone that made this day SO special for Carson. He couldn't wait to dive into his presents after his bath.

What a fun day for our special boy!!

  1. That’s an interesting post. Recently, I too visited the local venue NYC to attend a colleague’s marriage party. This was undoubtedly best spot for their retro themed wedding. As the venue was super charming and glowing, so everything was just perfect to suit their special occasion.
