"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Weekend in Jacksonville

Jacob and Brooke invited us up to Jacksonville for the weekend, and to see their favorite comedian, Brian Regan. We were excited for our night out!
Brooke's good friend Stephanie graciously offered to watch our kids for our evening out. The kids took right to her!
We went to the downtown Jacksonville theater for the show!
Brian Regan was hilarious! I can't think of the last time I laughed that hard. The best part was listening to Matt clap during several parts because he thought it was so funny! We had a great time!
After the show, we went to The Cheesecake Factory for appetizers and cheesecake. Such a fun evening!
When we returned to Jacob and Brooke's apartment, Tanner was sitting on Stephanie's lap (at midnight!) and Stephanie informed us that Tanner had climbed out of his pack n' play several times, something he has never done before! All 4 of us slept in the guest room, and Tanner shared the bed with Mommy! My little sleeping angel...
Everyone was up at 6:30am! Brooke and Jacob were great sports to jump right up and begin the day. Thankfully Brooke had lots of coffee! Carson and Hannah helped!

After breakfast and playtime at the apartment, we drove over to Brooke and Jacob's new house to swim at their community pool. It was like a resort! 2 pools and a giant water slide!
The kids were little fish! They had a great time swimming and playing in the water. Tanner was all over the place, and got a little practice before his swimming lessons start next week.
The water was great and it was nice to relax for a few hours!
Even Mommy let loose and went down the slide!
After pooltime and lunch, Jacob and Brooke walked us through their new house that's under construction. The kids were all over the place, and even asked where their rooms were! Watch out Uncle Jacob and Aunt Brooke! I think you definitely will have some visitors!
Their house is almost finished and we're so excited for them to move into it in just a couple of months!
We had such a fun weekend, and the boys were fast asleep within minutes of buckling them in their carseats. Thank you Brooke and Jacob for such a great time. We appreciated everything you did to make our stay so great!
