"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

A, B, C's

My sister shared an awesome website with me called "No Time for Flashcards". The creator of this website is a stay at home mom with a desire to teach her preschool age child at home with fun crafts and activities that doesn't take too much time to prepare. I fell in love with it and have been attempting to do some of the crafts with Carson while Tanner naps in the mornings. The first week, we learned all about the letter A. A is for Alligator...and we made this fun Alligator looking A. He was very quick to pick up on the letter A and impressed Matt by showing off his Alligator A when he got home.
The next week we made a fun bumble bee letter B. This craft was more hands on. He got to paint the letter with yellow paint first, then glue black stripes and wings onto it. When you asked him, "Carson, what letter is this?" He responded very quickly, "Letter A!" Ha! He was still stuck on last week's lesson, but eventually he got it!
We try to do a letter a week, but tomorrow is Friday and we have yet to do the Letter C! I am hopeful next week we will be working on "C is for Carson!"
