"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Carson and Daddy Build a Firepit

Matt and I are thoroughly enjoying our Sunday night high school home group. They are a wonderful group of kids and we are always trying to think up different things to do to make our group fun. This past Sunday, it was cold, and so we decided to build a little firepit in our backyard and have the kids over to make smores. Carson loves following his Daddy around, and so Matt let Carson join in on building the firepit. Carson watched everything Matt did and tried to pick up stones, move dirt around, etc.
After helping Daddy, he decided it would be fun to make his own little sandpit over by our porch and dig in the dirt for awhile. It was cute, and fun, until he started eating it and then we immediately drenched him with the garden hose! I would have a picture of that, but it took both of us to get him all cleaned off! Carson is definitely all boy and his boyish adventures are just beginning!
