"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Bridesmaid dress shopping

Matt and I are super excited to be apart of Brooke and Jacob's wedding day. I will be a bridesmaid, and Matt will be a groomsmen. The wedding is set for July 2, 2011. When Jacob and Brooke came home for the weekend, Brooke took some of us to David's Bridal to look at bridesmaid dresses. The last time I stepped foot in David's Bridal was almost 4 years ago, and it was very exciting to be back in wedding mode!
Tanner tagged along too and was quite helpful! :) We ended up finding the perfect dress and ordered them the following day! Brooke has 2 more girls in the wedding not pictured below. We can't wait for their special day!

I will show you!

We got Tanner a new toy recently where you sit in front of it and play with all the little fun gadgets, etc. Well, Carson seems to like it too! Everytime I sit Tanner in front of the new toy, Carson finds a way to move Tanner over and fit in front of it too. I had to laugh and grab the camera one day when Tanner decided he was going to show Carson who is boss! Carson had just moved TT over and was ready to play. Tanner was already moving into place... Then he gets ahold of Carson's shirt! You can tell by Carson's face, he was not too thrilled about that!
Carson gently gets TT off of him...
But then Tanner goes back for more...
I don't think Tanner will have a problem being the baby brother!

Enjoying the cooler weather!

Taking the kids to the park is so much more enjoyable when the weather is cooler! We have been to a different park everyday this week. Matt and I love taking them after he gets home from work and spending family time together. It's so fun being able to do more with Tanner now too. He gets a kick out of Carson playing and has just as much fun watching.
Our big boy sliding all by himself.
Here is a picture of Carson when we took him to Westmonte Park to swing for the first time. Same swing, just a much bigger boy now! Time sure does fly!

A Day at the Farm

We were so excited when we were asked by some friends to take a trip to Green Meadows Farm in Kissimmee. We knew Carson would have so much fun petting and visiting the farm animals. When we first arrived, there was a big red tractor for the kids to climb on. Carson's Papa takes him on tractor (aka lawn mower) rides and Carson knew just what to do.
We headed over to the chicken coop next. Matt was hilarious trying to catch a chicken for the kids to pet.
And how much fun...Carson gets to hold it too! :)
Then it was off to take a train ride. Carson was choo-chooing all the way there.
We visited Sugarlips the cow next. Our tour guide explained to the kids that they were going to get to milk the cow. Of course Carson had no idea what he was doing, but he did it anyway.
Carson loved petting the sheep. He was quick to want to hug their backsides though so we had to keep telling him to step to the side!
One of the reasons we were excited to go to the farm was to take a hayride. Carson was jumping all over the hay bails and loved all the bumps!
After the hayride it was time to visit the pumpkin patch. Carson picked out the best pumpkin!

Our little smiley pumpkin!
What a fun day on the farm!

Tanner is 4 months!

Another month has flown by! We are so blessed to have 2 amazing little boys and are having so much fun with them. Tanner is the happiest little baby I know! All you have to do is look at him and he lights up! This month he has mastered rolling over from his back to his belly and his belly to his back. He also loves his tummy surfboard mat - clearly based off this happy grin!
During bathtime, he coos and kicks and splashes in the water. Most of the time he gets his bath alone, but every now and then we have a special seat we sit him in and he plays in the bath with his big brother.
We laugh and call Tanner our little quarterback! I think he's going to be a football player. He's off the charts in his height, 27 inches, and a solid 15 lbs. and 6 ounces. He sleeps pretty well at night too. He normally will do a good 5 or 6 hour stretch before waking up to eat.
We gave him his first taste of rice cereal today. He wasn't so sure what to think of it, but definitely smacked his lips and was interested in more. We love you T-T and are so blessed to have such a healthy, happy baby!

Silly Carson!

Carson is always up to something and can always find fun in anything he finds. Matt was washing out Carson's sand box one day and had Carson outside with him spraying him with the hose. Carson found a pot, filled it up with water, and got in it. We love our silly boy!

Cute brothers

Carson was watching a movie one afternoon on the floor. I layed Tanner down several feet away and walked away for a minute. When I returned, Carson had moved himself and his pillow to lay right beside his baby brother. They are already best buddies and I'm so thrilled they will be running around soon playing together!
