"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Valentine's Day/Rock Climbing

Thank goodness Hostess brought back the twinkie! The boys and I searched for a cute Valentine to give to their classmates and found this little minion idea on Pinterest. "You are one in a MINION Valentine!" My cricut came in handy to make the hearts, and Carson signed all of his.
We kept with our annual tradition of "I love you a LATTE" Starbucks drinks for their teachers on Valentine's morning too! The boys had a fun day at school and came home with lots of treats and sweet Valentine's!
My parents watched the boys on Valentine's night and Matt and I did something a little out of the ordinary for a Valentine's date! We went rock climbing! Surprisingly, it was my idea! We've got the Savage Race coming up at the end of March, and I thought it would be fun to give this a try. We took the 30 minute class that teaches you how to tie your knots, etc and were ready for our fun adventure!
Matt went first and took on quite a challenging wall!
We laughed so hard because the first time Matt started coming down, I was lifted into the air! I quickly realized I had to use some major muscle (or use the anchors on the floor) and got the hang of it!
This guy is quite the rock climbing machine!
I surprised myself at my ability to climb too! I started off a little hesitant because of the heights, and coming down was a bit scary too, but after a couple of times up, I was climbing to the very top!
We had such a fun time, definitely a "trust" activity for sure!
After a couple of hours of rock climbing, we hit up a Chinese restaurant for dinner. Simple but fun date night!
