"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Carson the musician

One of my favorite things about being a parent is watching my children grow into their own interests and personality. Carson has always had a love of music. He can't sit still when there is a song playing, has made up his own breakdancing moves that leave us in stitches, and can even name a few instruments. He figured out on his own the other day that a guitar has a similar look to a violin. He put his guitar underneath his chin, grabbed a drumstick from his drum set, and began "playing" his violin. I was so impressed! Of course, soon after, it was back to jamming out on his normal guitar!
