"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Big boy bed!

We only have 9 weekends left until baby DeMoor #2 is due to arrive! So needless to say, Matt and I are super busy trying to get everything done in time. One of the major things we needed to check off of our "to-do" list was get Carson a big boy bed and start trying to introduce it in the next few months. We realize he is only 18 months old and still needs a crib, but once the baby is here and ready to transition out of the bassinet, Carson needs to make the big switcharoo to his big boy bed. We found a great deal on Craigs List for a toddler size bed with mattress. We drove to Clermont the other night to check it out. Daddy moved Carson's furniture all around to make room for his new bed. Carson rode his horsey and watched!
Once we got the bed up, Carson was extremely interested and climbed right up into it. He has a new habit of jumping on everything and quickly stood up to jump. We told him how this was his new bed and we couldn't jump on it, only lay on it, or read stories.
Here is Matt trying to show Carson how we lay on the bed. So funny!
We hope to start trying to get Carson to take a nap here or there in his new big boy bed, or at least read stories and say prayers in it for the time being. Soon the crib will move to the baby's room and we'll be putting two little boys to bed at night! :)

  1. I love this post! I laughed...I cried! hahaha Carson is so precious that I couldn't help but chuckle at his cuteness! :o) Then, I got a little misty thinking about how fast our boys are growing up! Carson, please save up some hugs and kisses for Aunt Erica for when I come to visit in June! :o) We miss and love you all!
