"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Carson's Wild Kratts 5th Birthday Party!

Carson LOVES the PBS show called the Wild Kratts. It's about all kinds of animals and he has learned so many amazing facts, it's so fun to see him so interested! He's always been our little creature/outdoorsy boy, but this show has really taken him to a whole new level with knowledge on animals! This party was SO much fun for Mommy to plan, and thanks to Pinterest, I got some awesome ideas!

The food table....
Thanks to zebra and cheetah print duct tape, I dressed up the watering hole buckets and the water bottles themselves! So simple!
Zebra cakes...
Caterpillars...
Cheetah Cheetos...
Safari Subs....
We played 4 different games in order for each child to receive their creature power discs. I made creature power vests for each child, and used velcro to place each disc on their vest after they completed each game.

Here's most of the gang with their creature power vests on and ready for their first game!
The first disc they were trying to earn was a bug. We scattered plastic bugs all over the ground and they had to find 2-3 bugs and put them in their bags. Once they completed that, they earned their disc!
The next game was a cheetah game. I made cheetah tails out of animal print pipe cleaners and we taped them to their backsides! The kids had to run around and pull off someone else's cheetah tail in order to earn the cheetah creature power disc. This was fun to watch!

Cousin Ali going for Carson's tail....
The third game we played was the kangaroo hop. In order to earn the kangaroo creature power disc you had to hop to a certain place and hop back. We formed 3 lines to make this go a little faster! The kids were such good kangaroos!

The final game was fishing. They had to "catch" one fish in order to earn their disc. They all did great waiting their turn to fish!
The birthday boy caught a shark!
 Sweet Ali...
After all 4 games, the kids were hot and sweaty! (So were the parents!!) We washed hands and dug into the food!
Our sweet birthday angel enjoying his safari lunch...
Next was the birthday cake! Carson requested a coral snake cake for his birthday. How could I say no?! I researched some different sites and found a super easy idea on how to create a snake cake. I was SO thankful that even though it took some time the night before, it actually turned out to look like a coral snake, and Carson thought it was AWESOME!! Our big 5 year old ready to dig into the cake!
Singing Happy Birthday...
Digging into the cake....
 Tanner definitely approves!!!
Our final adventure was the nature walk. I found super cheap safari hats for everyone and our little adventurers were ready to hit the trail!
Landon and Carson, best buds since in the womb! Now 5 years later...
After our fun nature walk, Carson was ready to open up his presents! He was blessed by SO many wonderful things! He loved everything!
Some of our precious littlest birthday guests...
Happy 5th Birthday Wild Kratt Carson! We love you SO much buddy!
