"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

6 month mark!

It's hard to believe that 6 months have already passed since Matt took the leap of faith and changed careers! Even though we fully trusted that God led him to this exact place at the perfect time, change in general is hard, but Matt hit the ground running and has done amazing! It's been an awesome change for our family!
Matt has mastered the techniques of making bent or scratched rims into amazing looking rims! It took some practice to get color matching and some other harder detailed techniques down, but he has been out on his own for months now and the business is booming!!! Can you tell by his smile? :)
Of course Carson has decorated his "office" with fun pictures for Daddy to look at while he works.
And Matt has us to look at too!
Tanner got to visit Daddy one day when he was sick and Daddy showed him how he spins the wheels in the paint booth.
Matt comes home with awesome pictures of the rims he has completed, and it never gets old looking at these amazing cars he gets to drive and work on!

Last week their company hit the highest goal they've ever done in 1 day and we were super proud of our hard working Daddy! Happy 6 months Matt! We are SO proud of you!

Lion Country Safari

It's so hard to believe our baby boy is FIVE! The time has just flown by, but he is at such a fun age that it makes him getting older a little easier! The night before his birthday we surprised him with what his birthday was going to look like. We couldn't think of a better place to celebrate our animal loving boy than with a safari ride with 900 animals! His first reaction was pure excitement, but then he had some definite questions. "What if the ostriches peck at our windows and break them?!" We had to talk him down from a few fears before bed! We "barricaded" his door with streamers and "5" balloons!
We were up before the sun to get ready for the day and were able to catch him running through his fun birthday barricade of streamers!
We watched a beautiful sunrise as we headed towards West Palm Beach for his fun day!
First stop, his favorite breakfast place, Dunkin Donuts!
Carson educated us using his new animal encyclopedia on the 3 hour drive! We learned all kinds of facts!
Both boys were SO excited when we finally got to Lion Country Safari! Our little cuties ready for the safari tour! They give you an audio cd to play in your car as you drive through the 90 minute safari ride.
There were so many animals to see!
If Matt or I called an animal the wrong name, Carson was quick to correct us!
Ostrich close up!
Our safari boy checking it all out!
Tanner waving to the animals!
The lion area is one area they don't let the animals roam free, for obvious reasons! They are all gated in, and there is an electric fence for added protection.
It was so cool to see them so close though!
The boys were glued to the window!
TT thoroughly enjoying the safari!
Mommy and her boys having fun!
This baby rhino was "nudging" the car in front of us! The cars just have to stop and wait for the animals to pass by!
The big rhinos!
The cute zebras!
 The tall giraffes!
After our fun safari tour, we parked and headed into the main zoo and amusement park.
There were lots of animals to walk around and look at!
Then the boys got to ride a camel! Neither one of them were scared at all!!!
After the awesome camel ride, the boys fed the goats. The funniest part of this was the lady giving Tanner the lettuce to feed the goats and he started eating it first! The kid is like a rabbit, he LOVES lettuce! Silly boy!
After all of the animal exhibits, the boys were hot and sweaty and ready for the super fun splash pad!
They had a blast!
After they played at the splash pad for awhile, we rode the ferris wheel...
And after the ferris wheel, the boys had a great time on the safari spinning ride!
And the train ride!
Carson's fun birthday wouldn't be complete without a new huge stuffed coral snake to take home!
Successful birthday! Two sleepy boys on the way home! Carson's exact words about Lion Country Safari..."This place is better than Disney World!" Happy Birthday sweet boy!!!
