"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Frye Family Christmas 2013 - Part 2

Jacob and Brooke came down the day after Christmas for our second Christmas celebration! All the girls (minus Haddie!) Even Lily is in this picture! :)
Hadley was too busy passing out presents...
The kids were so excited over what Uncle Jacob and Aunt Brooke got them for Christmas!
And the BIG kids weren't complaining either! :)
Uncle Jacob, the engineer, helped Carson with one of his Lego sets. They had the best time!
And I got some sweet snuggle time with my Haddie girl!
What a fun night as a family! Merry Christmas everyone!

Frye Family Christmas 2013 - Part 1

After our own family Christmas time in the morning, we headed over to my parents for lunch with my family. Our family Christmas photo...
We put the little ones to sleep after Great Grandma, Pepaw, Aunt Kim, Uncle Scott, Alex, and Maddy got there and dug right in to the delicious food! I made this appetizer (thanks Pinterest!)
We played our gift card game as usual and had lots of laughs!
Like this one!
Carson helped Great Grandma and Pepaw open their gifts. Such a caring heart, he hugged Great Grandma several times!
Then it was presents time! We all sat out on the back porch and enjoyed the weather. Carson and MORE legos!
Devotional book!
Loving all of their new toys!
Princess Sophia Pj's!
Hadley opening our gift. Baby Ariel and Prince Eric and carriage. Too cute!
Carson mesmerized by the laptop my parents gave him...
After desserts, we had a great time enjoying each other's company and playing outside with the kids!
Successful and fun day with our family! But 2 super tired parents! :)

Our Family Christmas Morning 2013

Merry Christmas! Happy Birthday Jesus!
We started off our Christmas morning reading the Christmas Story. We've been doing this for a few years now. We want to make sure the boys grow up knowing what Christmas is all about.
After reading the Christmas story, we opened our Sparkle Box. The boys were excited to see the things that I have been adding to it the past few weeks.
It was really neat to look back at all we were able to be apart of this Christmas season. The boys played a huge role in picking out and packing our Operation Christmas Child boxes, and also helped shop for the little boy we adopted for Christmas. We reminisced about the joy we spread at the Nursing Home and talked about Mr. Bob. They are really beginning to understand what it means to give.
After the Sparkle box, we went straight to stockings!
Then onto presents (inside!)
After all the presents were gone under the tree, we told the boys we had a big surprise for them outside, but they had to close their eyes as we walked them into the backyard. Their expressions were priceless! Carson even yelled "Thank you!" They instantly went over to the playset to check it out.
Happy little boys!!!
After we played outside for a little while, we cooked up some Christmas pancakes and eggs!
The boys played with their new toys as we watched the Disney Christmas parade on TV. It was a nice, relaxing and fun morning at home as a family!

Christmas Eve Under the Stars

We were excited to be able to participate in our churches Christmas Eve Under the Stars service! Everyone gathered outside on this chilly but beautiful night under the stars to celebrate the birth of our Savior!
The boys had been looking forward to this night all week because they knew there was going to be hot chocolate!
Daddy and Carson singing Christmas songs...
Aunt Jamie and Haddie all bundled up!
Tanner was cold and Papa held onto him for awhile. So sweet!
Best buds with their glowsticks!
Mommy and Carson...
It was such a special evening and brought us back to the true meaning of Christmas. We were so grateful to be among 3000 people singing praises! Merry Christmas!
