"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Family beach day!

We spent a relaxing Saturday morning at the beach! Our weekends can get filled up with activities fast, so we were happy to have a morning to relax! We went to a more secluded beach on the east coast and loved it!
There were maybe 6 other families on the beach besides us and we had this whole section to ourselves. It was perfect!
The boys love it when Daddy can join in on our beach trips because he takes them out a little further than Mommy does in the ocean!
The boys built sandcastles and their own little ocean pool...
TT the sand monster! He buries himself and rolls around in the sand. He loves it!
Thankful for a relaxing morning at the beach with our family!

Grandma's Birthday

Grandma celebrated a birthday this week! We took her out for dessert at The Cheesecake Factory. Of course you can't go out for your birthday without the waitors and waitresses singing to you! She got a delicious piece of cake.

After dessert we headed to a park near the restaurant. Grandma is just a kid at heart, she hopped right up on the play equipment with the boys! :)

The park we played at was next door to the civic center where Matt and I were married. We thought it would be fun to take a picture with our boys in the spot where we said "I do!"
We love you Grandma and appreciate all that you do for us! Happy Birthday!

Carson's first movie on the big screen!

Matt and I took Carson on a little one on one date night Thursday night to see his first movie on the big screen! Our first stop was for dinner at Five Guys! He loves cheeseburgers, fries, and pink lemonade! :)
Originally we went to the Dollar Theater to see The Lorax, but when we realized it was in 3D, we changed our minds. We ended up at the other theater in town to see Madagascar 3.
Big boy with his movie ticket!
Carson is not a fan of loud noises (like his Mama!) so we waited until now to take him to the big screen. He covered his ears for the previews, but then got used to the sound.
We had a blast with our sweet boy! He was laughing out loud and had such a great time! We can't wait for our next movie with him!

Swimming Lessons Complete!

The boys have done outstanding in swimming lessons this summer! We are so proud of both of them and the little fishies they have become.
They can both swim, float, and come up for air when they need it. They cheered each other on and loved swimming together on special days.
Mr. Geoff was an awesome swim teacher and we are so thankful for all that he taught them!
Here's a little video of the boys in action. Notice Tanner goes in without instruction towards the end. He knew exactly what to do when no one was around to pick him up. Now we are swimming fishies this summer and the boys are confident in the water!

Swimming at Great Grandma and Peepaw's

Jamie, Nana, and I took the kids swimming at Great Grandma and Peepaw's house this week! All 3 have been in swimming lessons and LOVE to swim!!
They showed off their skills for Great Grandma and Peepaw. They were amazed at how well the kids swam and how much energy they had!
We had to bribe them with snacks to get them out of the pool to rest. Their little eyes were all red from all the swimming!
Here's Great Grandma and Peepaw enjoying their great grandkids!
Hannah, Aunt Mamie (& Hadley too!)
Nana and I with the 3 little fishies!
We had such a fun day and can't wait to go back!

Happy 4th of July!

We had such a fun 4th of July! Steve and Lori have so much to do at their river ranch, and we soaked up all the fun! The boys put their swimming lessons to good use and were little fishies in the river. Tanner especially!
They jumped off the floating dock over and over and over again!
Carson even gave the rope swing a try after watching everyone else do it. Matt helped him swing off of the shore and he had a blast!
And if all of that river fun wasn't enough, they had an inflatable water slide too!
We became close friends with Hershey the calf. He is so sweet and we had fun petting him!

Uncle Steve even let the boys feed Hershey his bottle. They did such a great job and loved every minute!

We went for a buggy ride and looked for animals around their property...
And even went for a family canoe ride as the sun was setting!

We enjoyed great food and desserts. I made this fourth of July treat from pinterest!

We loved spending time with our nieces and nephews! Especially this little guy who has the cutest laugh ever!! Uncle Matt loved his Ryder time...
We ended our fun day with sparklers and fireworks with our cousins!
Happy 4th of July from the DeMoor's!

Watermelon 5K

We couldn't wait to run in the Watermelon 5K on the 4th of July! I originally signed up with my sister-n-law Jessica, but then we decided to make it a family affair, and Matt and my brother-n-law Robbie signed up too. Then that turned into the boys running in the fun run, and my mother-n-law Marie spending the morning with us! All in all, it was a great experience!
There were over 4,000 people that participated in this 5K! Matt and I lined up within the 9/10 min mile runners, and it was wall to wall people. It took a solid minute after the race began to even start running!
Just 2 crazy runners in the midst of 4,000...
We were sure feeling the 90 degree heat on our run! Thankfully the local high school marching band gave out water and several members of the band played on the sidelines. Overall it was a great run and our favorite part was running through the finish line with this sweet boy cheering us on!!
Sweaty Mommy and her little racing buddies...
Although we weren't able to run exactly beside each other in the race, we loved being apart of this fun morning with our family!
Free sno cones made the heat so much more bearable!
Tanner and Tyler, little running cousins...
Carson sporting his 4th of July hat that Aunt Mamie made him with Daddy....
Then it was time for the Kids Fun Run! Carson was ALL about it! He loves to run with Matt and I, and he knew exactly what to do! Ready, set, GO!!!
Our sweet little runner heading for the finish line...
I ran with Tanner and he did pretty well too...
Thank you Grandma for getting up so early just to be apart of this fun morning with us!!!
