"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

ICS Birthday Treat

One of my favorite things about Carson's school is how much parent involvement there is. I got to be parent partner on the day after Carson's birthday. It's a super busy day, but so much fun! All 16 Kindergartners in his class are so sweet! The special birthday boy...
We celebrated with his choice of sprinkle sugar cookies with his class!

Carson turns SIX!

There's no stopping it...our baby boy turned SIX! We love watching Carson grow into the person God has created him to be. He is a sweet spirited, compassionate little boy that we are so proud of! When we tucked him into bed the night before his birthday, he said "Mom...let me guess...you are going to put streamers and balloons on my door, and I'm going to get to eat on the special birthday plate for breakfast!" I love how he has already caught on to our family traditions! You were right buddy!
Presents!
Breakfast on the "It's Your Special Day" plate, complete with a candle in his waffles...
His birthday sweet treat...a boston creme donut from Dunkin Donuts...his favorite!
We spent the day playing with his fun new birthday toys. Later in the evening, we went to dinner and to see the movie Dolphin Tale 2! Happy Birthday Carson James!

Birthday fun with the DeMoor cousins!

What a fun night with the DeMoor cousins! The kids had a great time playing in the backyard and eating cake and ice cream for Carson's birthday.
Carson loved all of his fun birthday treats, especially his Ninja turtle mask complete with glowing eyes from Uncle Ken!

Carson's Ninja Turtle Birthday Party!

Carson loves Ninja Turtles right now, so he wanted to have a Ninja Turtle birthday party at Nana and Papa's house! The Frye side all got together for a birthday cookout.
Since the Ninja Turtles love pizza, I made pizzas out of frisbees and Matt picked up a couple of empty pizza boxes to make a fun pizza toss game!
The kids loved it!
Then we made "bad ninjas" out of balloons, and the Ninja turtles had to defeat the bad guys! They are ready to take them down!
This game was fun until they knocked the balloons too hard into the grass and balloons started popping!
Carson requested Papa's famous cheeseburgers on the grill, french fries, and baked beans. It was a yummy lunch for sure!
Thanks to Pinterest, this Leonardo birthday cake was super easy to make for our big 6 year old!
Such a big boy!
We loved celebrating Carson's special day with our family, especially our sweet Lily girl!

Farm Day at CCC!

Now that's one cute farmer! We love our preschool and all of the fun activities they have for our kids. Today was farm day!
I had the privilege of volunteering and getting a front row seat to all of the fun. I read The Carrot Seed to each of the Pre-K classes and helped the children plant their very own carrot seeds. Tanner was thrilled to have Mommy there!
Planting his carrot seeds...
There were different stations set up in their multi-purpose room. One of Tanner's favorites was the apple tasting (he LOVES apples!) and painting with them too! Love that sweet smile!
Such a fun day with our Tanner boy!

13 week bump!

Baby DeMoor #3 is beginning to pop out! This sweet angel is definitely letting me know that he/she is healthy and thriving. The nausea/sickness is still hanging on pretty strong, but we are pushing through...I have much to be grateful for! The pregnancy cravings are going strong. I would drink hot sauce from the bottle if my acid reflux wasn't so bad! I crave spicy and hot foods. Matt is over buffalo wings every other night!  I had to bring out the maternity pants this week as the belly is starting to expand (it could be the chicken wings!) At week 15, Matt and I went on our first date since June to the Cheesecake Factory. I've been too sick to eat out, so this was a super fun treat!
The boys pray every night that they will feel the baby kick. Just a little bit longer boys! They kiss my belly when they go to bed. My doctor appointments have been great, we are thankful for a healthy growing baby. Hooray for the beginning of my second trimester!

Best Daddy award!

I'm one blessed girl! When I was preparing for Carson's homeschool day, one of the math assignments was to make a graph out of poster board. Of course my hubby would volunteer to do it without thinking twice! He's such a good Daddy and my biggest supporter. Love him!

Springs!

Matt scored a deal on goggles and flippers for the boys at a garage sale, and they couldn't WAIT to try them out!
We headed to the Springs on Sunday afternoon to do a little exploring. Love my little fishies!

Celebrating a great first week!

Wow! We couldn't have asked for a better first week of school! Matt and I are SO proud of the boys awesome behavior and great school work. We took them to Disney's Yacht and Beach club resort for their fun arcade and yummy ice cream place!
Way to go Carson and Tanner! Keep up the good work!

First day of ICS Kindergarten!

Our handsome little boy in his ICS uniform! Carson is ready for his first day of school.
We've been praying for a great first day and a smooth transition for all of us as we start this new journey. Carson will attend class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and we'll homeschool on Monday and Wednesday. Carson was so excited, and so brave, and couldn't wait for his first day to start.
Mommy held it together for the most part! I can't believe our baby is starting Kindergarten!
Carson put his folders and backpack away in their proper place and found his desk like they had practiced at open house. He sat right down and got to work on his first assignment. I know he is in good hands and will make lasting friendships. Happy first day of school sweet boy! You make us so proud!

Kindergarten Open House

Carson had his class open house today at ICS! Meet Mrs. Callahan...the sweetest, craftiest, happiest person I've ever met! She is simply wonderful! She is going to be a perfect fit for our Carson!
Mrs. Callahan set up a super fun treasure hunt for the kids to do when they walked in. Each student had to grab a map and a bag for their gold coins they were going to collect.
The map had the students going around the classroom, putting away and learning where their student folders would go, meeting a new friend in the centers, writing in their math journals, creating a craft, and much more!
Carson's cubby...
One of the treasure map tasks was to find Mrs. Callahan and get a hug from her. She noticed Carson's tooth was missing and immediately took him over to the "I lost a tooth" chart on the wall!
He was the first one to sign in August that he lost a tooth, so special!
Tanner found the reading center and camped out for the hour that Carson and I were visiting with our class families. I think someone was worn out from preschool!
Mrs. Callahan had snacks and water for the kids. It was such a fun time getting to know his classmates and his teacher.
On our car ride home, the boys ate their super fun "back to school" snack mix that Aunt Jamie made them! Such a memorable back to school day!
