"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Tanner is walking!

Tanner has been taking steps since the beginning of April, but just in the past 2 weeks, he has really taken off! Matt took this video of our sweet boy walking all the way across the pavilion at the Elementary school near our house. Excuse the fuzzy ending, he was being super Dad and had both boys to keep an eye on!

Pool time

We love our weekends as a family! We especially like our lazy Saturdays where we have nowhere to be but at home and we take full advantage. This past weekend we got the pools out in the backyard and had a blast! Tanner loves the water.
Carson and Matt have too much fun together. Carson is squirting water from a squirt toy into Matt's mouth - silly boys! My little snuggle bug!

More Easter fun

After church service and naps we headed to Steve and Lori's house for some fun! We love spending time at their house and with Matt's family. Carson got to go on a boat ride - he was excited to tell me all about it when he got back! After some yummy lunch, Sharon, Lori, and I set out over 100 eggs for all of the kids to look for!
Tanner enjoying his egg! After fun with the DeMoor's, we went to my parents for dinner and another egg hunt! Carson and Hannah were pros by this point! "Look PePaw...an egg!" The kids opened their Easter gifts. Carson got Handy Manny underwear which he was super excited about and Tanner and Carson both got some new cute outfits. Hannah loved her new bracelets Aunt G got her. So sweet! What a fun but exhausting weekend! The kids were beat!

Dyeing eggs

What a difference a year makes! I can't even tell you how excited I was when we started the process of dyeing eggs and realized what a perfect age Carson is at to do this with. Last year was a bit of a disaster! Ha! He was really excited and so into it! He did such a great job "dropping" the eggs into the different colors and waited patiently for each egg to be done. When the eggs were ready to come out of the dye, Carson put each egg onto the drying rack. After they were dry, Daddy and Carson decorated the eggs. So fun! The finished product!

Easter Egg Hunt

We were so excited for the Easter Egg Hunt at Field of Fame this year! Before the hunt began, we visited the Easter Bunny. Hannah and Carson were a bit tired but they were still ready to find some eggs! Nana and Papa were excited to help them get started! Ready...set... Go! Carson did such a great job finding eggs and putting them in his basket. Eventually he got curious as to what was inside of the eggs and needed to sit down and open some! Tanner was walking all around and finding eggs too! He had a blast knocking them together. I love this picture! Our cute boys after the hunt:

What a fun morning!

Good Friday

Easter is truly one of my favorite times of the year. Celebrating Christmas and Jesus' birth is of course a top favorite time of the year too, but celebrating the resurrection of our Lord is the entire reason we have a relationship with Jesus Christ. My cousins Alex and Maddy were baptized on Good Friday and I couldn't think of a better way to kick off the Easter weekend than with that!
My grandmother was recently in the hospital and had to stay at an extended stay rehab center and was able to get out just in time to attend. It was so nice spending time with our family!

Prom

Matt and I were asked by some teens in our high school small group if we would be willing to drive a group of them in the church van to prom! We were honored to be apart of such a special day for them. Matt took his job as chauffeur very seriously! He dressed up in a suit, and made sure the church van was spic and span! My wonderful parents took the boys for the night, and Matt and I had a blast on "prom night"! The handsome chauffeur... We wrote "Prom 2011" on a couple of the windows. This got quite the honks and waves on the interstate! I made sure the kids had water bottles, and of course candy, for the drive there. Everything was gone by the time we arrived - taking pictures for an hour will do that to teens! My handsome date for the evening... The group...
Their prom was held at the Gaylord Palms - such a beautiful hotel! So ready to party...but they allowed me to take one more picture! After we dropped the kids off, Matt and I did a little Disney hotel hopping! We had about 4 1/2 hours to kill (who are we kidding...we were in heaven!) before we had to pick them back up. Our first stop was the Boardwalk where we walked around for awhile. Then we headed to the Yacht and Beach Club for dinner. After dinner we layed in the lawn chairs on the "beach" of the Beach Club and watched the fireworks. My favorite moment of the night was when we went to the Polynesian Resort and Matt worked some major magic with our favorite restaurant Ohana. Ohana is an all you can eat restaurant and they serve the most delicious dessert ever...Banana Fosters...yum!! Somehow, my amazing hubby convinced the restaurant next door to Ohana to allow us to order my favorite dessert that is exclusive to Ohana at their restaurant! I was super excited!
After our wonderful date, we headed back to the Gaylord Palms to pick up the kids and drove them back home. What a fun night!
