"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Baby love

Tonight I was sitting on the floor playing with Carson and I asked him where the baby was? He walked over to me and started patting my belly. Then gave my belly lots of kisses! Matt grabbed the camera and snapped a few shots of Carson loving on his baby brother or sister.

Christmas 2009

Christmas is our favorite time of the year! Not only because we are celebrating the birth of Jesus, but also because we get to spend so much time with our family and friends. Our Christmas activities started a few days before Christmas when Matt and I went to a special Christmas eve service (the day before Christmas eve) with Matt's mom at her church. The service was great! We snapped a photo in front of the Christmas tree on our way out.
On Christmas eve morning we celebrated with Aunt Jamie, Uncle Will, and Hannah before they left for Ocala. Hannah was such a cutie!
Carson got a remote control firetruck as one of his gifts from Aunt Jamie and Uncle Will. He loves it!
Aunt Jamie opened presents while Hannah just watched. We ate some delicious breakfast goodies with them and then they left for their trip.
During the afternoon on Christmas Eve, we went to our own church for their service. Carson had to sit in the service with us and he did great. He clapped after every song!
We tried to get him to say, "cheese" afterwards for a picture, but we only got a side shot. He looked SO handsome in his Christmas vest.
After church we headed to the DeMoor's for Christmas Eve dinner and presents. Carson had to have a chocolate chip cookie! (Daddy doesn't like it when Mommy gives him sweets!)
Dinner was delicious, and before we opened presents we brought out baby Jesus in the manger and sang Happy Birthday.
Here are the DeMoor cousins. Carson had so much fun running around with them.

Carson got several fun gifts from Matt's family, including a slide! He loves to try to climb the slide the wrong way! He also got puzzles, crayons, a helicopter, and a farm.
On Christmas morning, Carson woke up and it was back to opening presents!
He got another firetruck from Mommy and Daddy, a doctor's set, and a wooden train.

After his first nap, we went over to Nana and Papa's for Christmas Day. When we walked in, there was a tent with a tunnel set up for Carson! It took him a few minutes, but he finally explored the tent and tunnel and had so much fun.
He also got a big car loader truck.
And some cool shades from Uncle Jacob and Brooke.
After we had lunch with Aunt Kim, Uncle Scott, Alex, and Maddy, we all drove up to the Villages to have Christmas with Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. We thoroughly enjoyed making them smile! We brought them dinner and opened more presents with them. Great Grandma and Great Grandpa bought Carson a sock monkey which he LOVES and a Santa cup.
We had such a wonderful Christmas holiday and hope you and your families did too!

The Bradley's come to FL for Christmas!

Erica and Benson flew in from Arizona a week before Christmas. We all met at Tijuana Flats to have a special dinner together. Carson was super excited to see his BFF Benson! It had been about 10 weeks since they left for their new home in Arizona and we were so happy to see them! Carson and Benson sat next to each other at dinner. Carson kept waving and smiling at Benson and Benson was just fine with all the love he was getting from everyone.
We got to see Benson and Aunt Erica several times for playdates. The boys really took to each other and Benson loved playing with Carson's toys. Benson even tried crawling for the first time at our house. He ended up really crawling on Christmas Day but we were SO excited to see this new milestone! Erica, Benson, and Mrs. M (aka Gigi) came over for a special Christmas lunch that we hosted. We had lunch together and let the boys open the presents that they got for each other. Scott came before Christmas and the Saturday before they flew out we went to a lunch at his parents house. We miss them terribly already but are looking forward to seeing them again soon!

High School Christmas Party

Our High School small group Christmas party was a couple of Sundays ago. My mom and I stayed up late the night before baking all kinds of sweet treats for the party.
We had cookies, fudge, rice krispie treats, and hot cocoa with marshmallows.
We asked the kids to bring a white elephant gift for some fun.
They definitely brought some interesting items! We had mismatched socks, an old school lunch thermos, and even a mexican string puppet.
We finished the night off with a game of Catch Phrase and had a wonderful time hanging out together.

Santa

Aunt Jamie and I took Carson and Hannah to see Santa last week. We had no idea that the line to see Santa would be over 2 hours long! When you have a 15 month old who loves to run, this did not seem to be such a great idea!
We decided to attempt it and got in line with our lunch. Carson surprisingly ate his lunch and watched all of the kids in line for over an hour before wanting to get out of his stroller. Once he got out, it was a bit challenging, but we made it another 30 minutes and onto Santa's lap!
I'll have to scan Carson's Santa photo and post it at another time. He did great and gave a big smile making an awesome photo!

More Christmas fun!

Uncle Jacob and Brooke came down to visit this weekend and stayed for a couple of days. We thought it would be fun to head down to the Yacht and Beach Club at Disney to see the Gingerbread house displays.
We ate at a diner called Beaches and Cream before we walked around the resorts. There's nothing like greasy diner food to start off a fun night, especially when you're pregnant! :) While we waited for a table, we took Carson into the arcade. He loved this bowling game! Our first stop after dinner was at the Beach Club where the gingerbread display was of a carousel. What talented people! The carousel, even the smallest accessories, was all gingerbread and chocolate!

We walked around the lake to another resort called The Boardwalk. Inside of their lobby was a gingerbread display of a gazebo. It was so cute...Donald and Daisy duck were part of the display and they even had a fireplace made out of gingerbread.
Here's the Frye clan in front of the Christmas tree.

What a fun night we had together. Nana and Papa had fun spending time with their cute little grandkids too.

Grandpa's Birthday at Disney

Matt's dad's birthday was this past weekend and the DeMoor's went to Disney to celebrate. Charlie likes a restaurant in the Magic Kingdom so we headed to the park for some yummy food and fun! We stopped along the way for a fun picture. Carson didn't get to ride It's a Small World during his first trip to Disney World, so Matt and I took him on the ride for the first time. We only waited 20 minutes, which is good for this popular ride, and Carson was so excited to get on the boat! Once we got on, he stared and clapped through the ride. So cute!
Carson loved playing with Uncle Ken while we waited for our name to get called at the restaurant.
The food was delicious! Grandpa got a cupcake for dessert and we sang Happy Birthday.

On our way out of the park, it was "snowing" (Florida style!) on Main street.
Carson saw the Mickey Mouse balloon and was yelling, "Balloon!!!" How could we not buy this $10 balloon???
What a fun night we had celebrating Grandpa's birthday!
