"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 4: 6-9

Aunt Erica & Benson come to visit!

Aunt Erica planned a special June trip from Arizona so that she could spend time with us after baby Tanner was born. She flew in on a Friday night, and after only being in town for a few hours, she was over at our house to get her hands on Tanner!
Benson came with Aunt Erica the next day to play! We had so much fun while they were here! Aunt Erica treated us WAY too much. She made us dinner, helped with the boys, and brought me lots of coffee and other yummy treats! Our favorite times while they were here were just hanging out at home and playing. Carson showed Benson his fun toys on the porch, and Aunt Erica got to steal lots of snuggles with Tanner. One day we visited storytime, and I was so thankful Erica was with us! It was my first outing alone with both boys and man was it eventful! :)
We miss Uncle Scott, Aunt Erica, and Benson SOOO much, but cherish our times and memories we make when they visit. Thank you for such a fun couple of weeks!!

Park fun

Bear Lake Elementary School is just down the street from where we live. We love taking walks, when the weather is nice, and letting Carson play on the school playground. Today Daddy taught Carson how to balance and walk on the balance beam.
He quickly picked up on how to balance and did these steps all by himself!
Tanner is a sleepy little baby, even when we visit the playground, but I'm sure that will change real soon!

First Family Outing

Our first family outing was to Cranes Roost Park. We (more like Mommy) was getting a little stir crazy in the house all the time, so we ventured out for some fresh air.
We got out the double stroller for the first time with our 2 kiddos. It was fun pushing them both around the lake.
We came upon the fountain light show. Carson was totally amazed!
We grabbed some dinner and had a little picnic. What a fun first outing!

Pediatrician Visit

Tanner had his first Pediatrician visit today. He did great in the car to and from the doctor's office. He has lost a little bit of weight but is doing good. We feel so blessed to have a healthy baby!

Tanner's first bath

It's always scary when you give your newborn a bath for the first time! It's more like a sponge bath since there are so many things you can't get wet, or have to be careful with. Tanner did a great job, just cried for a little. My mom has been staying with us for the past few days so it was nice to have an extra pair of hands around to help with this task.

First few days...

Our hospital stay was great. We were blessed with wonderful nurses and the time spent there flew by. We missed Carson so much and were ready to get home and start, what I call, our new "normal".
Carson was very curious of Tanner, but kept his distance for the most part. Tanner is a great baby! He sleeps most of the time, and isn't bothered one bit by the different noises his big brother makes!
Catching some UV rays to keep that jaundice away!

Tanner Matthew

Our Tanner Matthew was born on June 7, 2010 at 11:01 a.m. He weighed 9lbs and 3 oz. and was 22 inches long. Big boy! Our delivery story was, to say the least, eventful! Unlike my 24 hour labor with Carson, Tanner didn't want to wait all day, he was ready to meet his new family, and made his debut 3 hours after the induction process began.
We were so excited to see our sweet baby's face, and were in complete awe!
We couldn't wait to see Carson and show him his baby brother. Carson immediately pointed to Tanner and said, "baby". He moved on rather quickly, but we were pleased that he responded well. We are so blessed to have 2 healthy, happy boys, and are excited to start our new life as a family of 4!

Fun baby gifts!

Baby Tanner received 2 AMAZING personalized gifts this week that I am so excited about! Aunt Erica, Uncle Scott, and Benson got Tanner his own towel set to go with Carson's towel set for their bathroom. They are so cute! Aunt Jamie and Nana had Tanner's diaper bag made and it is SO cute! The inside has great pockets to store things. Thank you Aunt Erica, Aunt Jamie, and Nana!!
